The Century Theatre has two shows this weekend.

Tonight (Thursday), the Ashby Road venue has a production of As It Comes! from The Rumpus Theatre Company.

The farce sees Brian Stevens and Timothy Davies both work for the Marvellous Marketing Company.

When each is invited to dream up a campaign for a new wonder drug, the rivalry is rife to see which of their schemes will win the contract.

But with colleagues coming on board and espionage not eschewed, plans start to unravel, before they go disastrously and uproariously wrong!

On Friday, the Century Theatre has Floyd in the Flesh.

From the subtle beauty of "Coming Back to Life" to the all-out rock of "Run Like Hell" this incredible, six-piece, fully live tribute to the one and only Pink Floyd delivers on every level.

You will be taken on a musical journey through all of the classic Floyd tracks from the 1967 classic "Astronomy Domine" through super hits like "Another Brick in the Wall" and "Wish You Were Here".

With breath-taking performances of tracks such as "Great Gig in the Sky" and "Comfortably Numb" featuring some of the country's most talented musicians, this really is a show not to be missed.

The band have been praised for their relaxed and friendly on-stage presence. You will find no egos here and the band are all true fans of Pink Floyd, happy to let the incredible music take centre stage.

The Sir John Moore Foundation in Appleby Magna has a Free Museum Open Day with Cellar Bar on Sunday.

Sir Christopher Wren? In Leicestershire? Surely not! Yes. The Sir John Moore Foundation is the only building to have been designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the Midlands (except for the library at Lincoln Cathedral. Does that count?) But recent research has started to suggest a woman might have helped him - Elizabeth Wilbrahim. We still have a lot to uncover.

The Museum at the Sir John Moore Foundation shows what life was like in 1891, with a classroom, a Headmaster's office, and a dormitory. It also explores the life of Sir John Moore, the village of Appleby Magna, and the history of this extraordinary building. Opened as a free school in 1697, it has served Appleby Magna as a free school ever since.
