Worthington Brownie Teddy is praised for her fundraising efforts in aid of local animal sanctuary

A member of Worthington Brownies has been praised for raising over £200 for the Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary in Markfield.
Theodora McDonald - aka Teddy - sold raffle tickets and sweets.
And within weeks, she had collected £226.
A message from the Sanctuary said: "Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary would like to extend a warm thank you to Teddy for her generous fundraising efforts.
"She has demonstrated a heart for our community and a passion for animal welfare by raising £226 by selling raffle tickets and sweets in just a matter of weeks.
"As a result of her hard work and dedication to our cause, we are able to continue providing care and shelter for a range of animals, including cats, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, rabbits and Guinea pigs.
"We would like to commend the Brownie group for taking it upon themselves to make a difference in the community, and for recognising the importance of supporting animal welfare.

"The compassion and empathy they have demonstrated will undoubtedly translate into future acts of kindness and generosity.
"We wish the Brownies every success in their future endeavours."
Founded in August 1986 by the Redmile family, Redgate is an animal shelter that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes a variety of animals in need.
The Sanctuary is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday between 12noon-3pm.
There is no entrance fee but visitors are asked to make a donation towards the care of the animals upon arrival/exit so that the Sanctuary can continue its vital work in animal rescue.
