Coalville CAN has an evening of powerful and thought-provoking poetry on Friday.

Poet, spoken word artist, and body positivity model Cathi Rae will present a live reading from her newly published collection of poems, 'Your Cleaner Hates You and Other Stories'.

The event also features 10 short open mic performances by talented local poets and is supported by the Bee Warrior Poet, AKA Debra McLean.

Also on Friday is a tribute to Meat Loaf at the Century Theatre in Coalville.

With huge hits like 'I'd Do Anything For Love' and 'Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad', Meatloaf was known for his operatic vocals and theatrical shows.

It may be a lot for a tribute act to live up to… but here is the perfect Meatloaf tribute act for your next night out.

Amazing musicians playing top singalong dance-along tunes - it would be a 'sin' to miss it.

Coalville Photographic Society has a talk on Monday night at Coalville CAN in Memorial Square.

Come along for an evening with Paul Hassell who will talk about his photography.

There are a number of events coming up at the Marlene Reid Centre in Coalville.

On Wednesday, the venue has its Community Table.

It is not just about food, the event brings people together and connects through shared experiences to create a welcoming space where everyone feels valued.

By allowing people to enjoy a traditional hot meal with company at the Community Table, a sense of community is fostered, with friendships and inclusivity.

Each week, the menu will feature sustainable choices sourced from the 'Plenty 2 Cook' social supermarket, prepared by our skilled team to minimise waste. You can select either a meat or vegetarian option, served hot with a choice of beverage and dessert.
