The Century Theatre in Coalville hosts Voodoo Room on Saturday night - paying tribute to the legends of rock, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Cream.

A stunning power trio featuring some of the UK's finest musicians who perform an incredible show in the true spirit of these legendary superstars. No wigs, no gimmicks – simply great music played by great musicians!

Featuring classics such as: Hey Joe, Sunshine Of Your Love, Purple Haze, Layla etc.

Members of Voodoo Room have recorded and toured with Stevie Winwood, Massive Attack, Arthur Brown, Fish, Thunder and many other high profile artists.

There is music of a different kind at the 1620s House in Donington le Heath this Sunday.

The Lachrimae Consort returns with a wonderful evening programme which includes instrumental music and songs from the time of Queen Elizabeth and Shakespeare.

The "consort of six" became very popular following the Queen's visit to Kenilworth Castle in 1575 when Lord Leicester employed the most famous musicians of the land.

This new and unique combination of blown, plucked and bowed instruments (flute, lutes and viols) found a place in many noble households, especially if they were expecting a visit from the Queen! Sir Francis Walsingham, the Queen's Secretary of State, maintained such a consort and his music books survive.

On Saturday, the Gresley Male Voice Choir will be performing at the Methodist Church in Hall Lane, Whitwick.

The choir has over 50 members and fulfils, on average, 22 engagements a year performing for a range of societies from small groups, churches to national bodies, and has toured extensively, in the U.K., Ireland, Europe and U.S.A. including a number of choir exchange visits.

Saturday will see the Gresley Male Voice Choir join with Scarlett Jones for this summer concert.
