Road closures will be put in place on Abbey Road near Coalville this month with temporary traffic lights.

This will be so that Severn Trent Water can install a new water main.

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at Charley.

Road closures will be on Abbey Road between Oaks Road and Warren Hills Road as follows:

• 07:00 9th March 2020 to 18:00 13th March 2020

• 07:00 18th March 2020 to 18:00 20th March 2020

There will be temporary traffic signals in use from 07:00 16th March to 07:00 18th March 2020

Highways says that the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Charley Road, Shepshed; Charley Road, Copt Oak Road, Charley; Whitwick Road, Copt Oak; Warren Hills Road, Coalville and vice versa.
