Cattows Farm is using an Ashby company as they begin the biggest expansion project in its history.

The Heather farm, which also stages the Ashby Show, says it is developing a 'new improved vision'.

And they have announced on their Facebook pages that they are making encouraging progress.

Cattows Farm posted: "We've been working hard behind the scenes over the past 18-24 months to develop a new and improved vision for the farm - one that will ultimately give our customers an enhanced visitor experience - yesterday things started to get real!

"Working closely with an architect who grew up (and still lives in the village) - HSSP Architects - we've journeyed through many, many versions of plans and building designs with numerous tweaks.

"The coming months will see this vision brought to life! A larger capacity dining area, bigger kitchen, new production kitchen, new products and services and improved toilet facilities - at last!!!

"We've engaged with a fabulous local company - Keller Construction Ltd of Ashby-de-la-Zouch to help us realise one of the single biggest expansion projects in the farms diversified history.

"There will be very little disruption to the farm shop and tea room throughout the project...in fact some seats will have a prime view as the works unfold!

"We are very excited - we hope you are too!"
