Police arrest man on attempted murder charge after Bagworth incident

A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Bagworth.

And a woman faces charges of assisting an offender.

The arrests follow an incident last week which led to Leicestershire Police targeting a house in Ashby Road, Coalville last Friday.

On that occasion, two men were arrested and later released on bail.

But now a man and a woman have been charged.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: "A man and a woman have been charged following an incident in Bagworth.

"Henry Gaskin, 53, of Lands End Road, Doncaster, has been charged with attempted murder.

"Carol Gaskin, 51, of Lands End Road, Doncaster, has been charged with assisting an offender.

"They were remanded to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later today (Friday 7 May).

"The charges relate to an incident on Thursday (29 April) when a man was found critically injured in Barlestone Road."
