- The military could be called in by police to help enforce the new rules
- People should work from home if they can or if their workplace is not Covid-safe.
- Wedding attendees will be halved from 30 to 15 but numbers at funerals can stay as they are
- Facemasks will be made compulsory for staff in hospitality and close contact places - taxis as well
- Team sports will be curbed inside which means five a side football and other games cannot take place
- The return to live sport planned on October 1 will not now go ahead, but it is not clear how this wlll affect non-league football
- Businesses will have a legal requirement to enforce the rule of six
- The fines will double to £200 for people not wearing face masks
- As announced at the weekend, there will be fines for Brits who defy orders to isolate
Prime Minister Johnson said: "I'm sorry this will affect businesses who have just got back up on their feet.
