Local Elections: Conservative victories in Ibstock and Worthington

The results for the two district elections being held in Ibstock East and Worthington & Breedon were announced in the early hours of Friday morning.

And they produced two Conservative victories for Jenny Simmons (Ibstock East) and Raymond Morris (Worthington & Breedon).

The full results were:

Ibstock East

Liz Fletcher (Green) – 41

Carissma Griffiths (Labour) – 164

Jenny Simmons (Conservative) – 335 ELECTED

David Wyatt (Lib Dem) – 54

Worthington & Breedon

Raymond Morris (Conservative) – 696 ELECTED

Gregory Parle (Labour) - 139

Gareth Shilton (Green) - 104

Paul Tyler (Lib Dem) – 60
