Families who want to enrol their children at the new forest primary school in south east Coalville this Autumn are reminded they need to apply soon.

The cut off date for applications is Monday, 15 January.

Parents and carers can find out more and apply through Leicestershire County Council by clicking HERE.

There is no automatic entry for any school, and any 2024 first-time primary applications made after the closing date will be processed after those made on time.

Families are encouraged to select three schools, including one in their catchment area, to have the best chance of securing a place at their local one.

The new forest primary school in south east Coalville is now available to add as a preference.

If you have already submitted an application and want to include this school, you can use the school admissions contact form HERE.

Allocated school places will be announced on national offer days – March 1 (secondary) and April 16 (primary).

The county council says that, last year, nearly 99 per cent of Leicestershire's children – a record number - secured a place at a preferred primary choice and around 97.5 per cent at a preferred secondary.
