Police arrested two people in connection with the theft of two mountain bikes from a property in Ashby Road, Coalville.

An appeal was made last month after a photo was issued of a person officers wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.

The thefts were made in the early hours of December 2.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "On December 18, an appeal was issued to identify a man following the theft of theft of two mountain bikes from business premises in Ashby Road, Coalville.

"The incident happened between 1am and 2am on December 2.

"Following further enquiries, a 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

"He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

"A 45-year-old woman was also arrested part of the investigation, but later released with no further action.
