North West Leicestershire District Council says that Coalville Market is still open.

This is in line with supermarkets who can still provide the sale of food and essentials.

But the council has issued the following warning to anyone planning to leave their home for food shopping.

On its Coronavirus webpage, it says: "Please continue to support the market while following the two-metre distancing advice."
