Coalville car parks will be free to use from Tuesday during the Government's Coronavirus measures.

North West Leicestershire District Council confirmed on Monday that there will be no charges in any of their car parks which includes those in Ashby.

But the Council insists this is not an invitation to leave their homes and travel in to town centres.

The Council says: "We hope it will be useful to residents now staying at home who struggle to find spaces to park on the street."
