Community fitness classes could become 'virtual' after Hermitage Leisure Centre in Coalville closed its doors on Friday due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
North West Leicestershire District Council asked Everyone Active - which runs the Hermitage centre - to close the Coalville venue from 11pm on Thursday,
The Council said on their Coronavirus website page: "All the community classes our leisure services team runs are cancelled due to the social distancing policy that the Government has put in place.
"This includes our popular Steady Steps programme.
"The team is working to let everyone know that classes have been cancelled, but if anyone is unsure please call leisure services on 01530 454755.
"The team is looking at ways to host virtual classes so that people can take part from their own homes. Watch this space for further info."
