Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club has announced it was able to donate £1,000 to each of its selected charities after last month's Santa collections.

This year, Rotary supported Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, Heart Link Children's Charity and Canine Partners.

The club says the money raised would not have been possible without the help of its volunteers and supporters, who all turned out in wet and windy weather.

Rotary has also thanked K.C.R Service and MOT Centre, who donated to the upkeep of the sleigh and Hillside Gundogs K9 Services for towing it and making the mobile collections possible.

The next event for Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club will be 'Afternoon Tea at the Palace' on March 1 at The Palace, Ibstock from 2-4pm.

This will be raising funds for Young Minds and Redgate Animal Sanctuary.

The club is also set to organise the Third Coalville Community Fun Run at Snibston Colliery Park on June 8.

It is hoping to build on the last two successful years - with further details to be announced soon.

The club welcomes new members who are interested in the work it does and if you are interested you can visit any event or find out more information from the website HERE. Or you can email [email protected]
