Amie Keightley, Care Coordinator at Home Instead Charnwood, Loughborough & Coalville, has been shortlisted as a finalist for this year's Stars in Social Care Awards in The Dedicated Home Care Coordinator Award category.

This recognises an individual who has demonstrated their ability to support and motivate their team, whilst using them in an efficient and effective manner.

The award honours those who are instrumental in ensuring continuity and compatibility in client care.

In her award entry, Amie discusses her pathway into the care sector, saying: "My journey in the care industry began after I left school and pursued Health and Social Care studies at college.

"Supporting people has always been my passion, and I gained initial experience through an apprenticeship at a residential home, where I stayed for a few years.

"However, my desire to provide personalised care in the comfort of clients' own homes led me to Home Instead in 2019.

"I was drawn by the remarkable achievements and high standards of care they deliver. Starting as a care professional, I now proudly work alongside the office care team, striving to make a positive difference every day."

Amie is attending the glamorous awards night which is set to take place on June 14 at the London Marriott Hotel, Regents Park, and will be hosted by This Morning TV Presenter Josie Gibson.

Commenting on her success so far, Amie added: "It's a real honour to be shortlisted as a finalist for this award.

"Getting this far is an achievement in itself, and I'm really looking forward to the final next month.

"Going up against many other amazing businesses and people in The Dedicated Home Care Coordinator Award category is such a compliment, and I wish them all the best of luck for finals!"

Owner of Home Instead Charnwood, Loughborough & Coalville, Charlotte Johnson, said, "It's fantastic news that Amie has been shortlisted for the Stars of Social Care Awards.

"This is a true testament to her hard work and dedication. We are all so proud and wish her the best for the finals in June."
