Coalville's Stephenson College has been awarded a College of Excellence 2019 by the UK's leading spa, Ragdale Hall.
The College's website says it is in recognition of outstanding practice and standards within beauty therapy training.
Coalville firefighters were called out to deal with a van fire on the M1 early on Saturday morning.

Coalville farmer Joe Stanley has been honoured for his dedication and commitment to the NFU and to the British farming industry.
The 2020 Meurig Raymond Award was presented to Joe at the NFU Conference dinner held at the ICC, Birmingham on Tuesday.

A yellow warning for ice has been issued for the Coalville area on Wednesday.
The Met Office says the warning comes into place from midnight and lasts until 10am.

Coalville MP Andrew Bridgen has highlighted North West Leicestershire District Council's 2,000 home 'Recycle More…' plan in the House of Commons.
Mr Bridgen made the scheme known to Luke Hall, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Local Government and Homelessness.
