The next SEND Local Offer Roadshow is being held in Coalville later this month.

This free event will take place between 9:30am- 2:30pm at Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre on Wednesday, 19 June.

It will be aimed at families, but is also open to anyone who would like more information about support available for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Around 40 organisations which support SEND children and their families are expected to attend the event, which has been organised by Leicestershire County Council

There will also be workshops running throughout the day, ranging from reflexology to school attendance, as well as several sessions focussed on autism which will be led by Autism Hub Midlands.

Jane Moore, county council director of Children and Family Services, said: "The Local Offer roadshows provide a great opportunity for parents, carers, and organisations to come together and discuss the SEND offerings in Leicestershire.

"The workshops will provide attendees with greater knowledge on a wide range of topics straight from industry experts. I would encourage anyone with an interest in supporting children and young people with special educational needs to sign up and check out the sessions."

People can drop in to the event, but attendees who have signed up in advance will be sent a form to make their workshop choices. However, anyone on the day can take part in workshops, depending on capacity.
