What's On in the Coalville area this weekend: A country fair with Spitfire flypast - and getting up close with some creepy crawlies
A country fair and a chance to get up close with some creepy crawlies are among the attractions on offer in the Coalville area this weekend.
The Ibstock Country Fair is being staged tomorrow (Sunday) and features a Battle of Britain Memorial flyby from a Spitfire aeroplane.
The organisers say the 26th Country Fair aims to be bigger and better.
Attractions this year include Falconry, Archery, Air rifles, Sheepdog and Gundog demonstrations.
As well as that, there is ferret racing, a whippet-lurcher show and racing, exemption dog Show, trade and charity stalls, a large craft marquee, along with children's rides and entertainment that will keep the family amused for hours.
Other attractions include displays by a Heavy Horse team, and a poultry and rare breeds exhibition, which all add to the country atmosphere.

Today (Saturday), Slitherin Reptiles in Coalville is having a Meet The Reptiles event.
The Mantle Lane store is inviting people to come along and take a closer look at some of the creatures there.
You will be able to meet and get the chance to hold some Tarantulas, Burmese Pythons and Monitor Lizards
Slitherin says there will be some of the creepiest crawlies in the world - and the day is completely FREE.

The monthly Coalville Mega Walk returns tomorrow (Sunday) - organised by the community group Coalville CAN.
This is a six mile guided walk and talk around the heritage sites of LE67 including ancient woodland, parks, shops and more.
Bring your walking boots for a 1pm start at Coalville Clock Tower.
Please bring refreshments aim to finish at 5pm.

There is live music tonight (Saturday) at the Victoria Bikers' pub in Coalville.
On stage is Arkham, described as the 'best metal thrash and nu metal covers band there is'.
