One of the best known names in soul music is playing live at the Central Bar & Grill in Ibstock this Friday.

This is a one off chance to see Eban Brown in a intimate venue.

Eban was the singer of The Stylistics for some 20 years before leaving to embark on a solo career which has seen him play at The Genting Arena Birmingham and at Wembley.

Eban is no tribute act but the Century Theatre in Coalville has a night of one of Country & Western's most popular singer's tunes on Friday.

Dolly - an evening of the music of Dolly Parton is sure to contain all the hits you know from the Queen of Country Music.

Sing along and tap your toes to this wonderful tribute - 9 to 5, Jolene, I Will Always Love You, and more.

Details of the event are HERE.

Coalville Drama Group's production of JB Priestley's - When We Are Married runs until Saturday.

A group of three couples, old friends and all married on the same day in the same chapel, gathers at the Helliwells' home to celebrate their silver anniversary.

When they discover that they are not legally married, each couple initially reacts with proper Victorian horror – what will the neighbours think? – and all three couples find themselves reevaluating their marriages; hovering closely over the proceedings is the Yorkshire Argus' alcohol-soaked photographer, keen to record the evening's events for posterity, and a wickedly destructive housekeeper who is hoping to use the couples' mortification to her own advantage.

Full details of how to book are HERE.

There is also live music on Friday and Saturday night at the Victoria Bikers' Pub in Coalville.

Friday sees a number of bands on the bill under the banner Parental Advisory.

Details are HERE.

Well known local band Murder of Crows are playing the Whitwick Road venue on Saturday night.

If your event is not here, you can list it for FREE at the Coalville Nub News website.
