The Leicester Comedy Festival comes to Coalville for a the first of a series of visits to The Birch Tree.

The Bardon-based venue has a night of comedy this Saturday.

Kie Carson and Jason Stampe will be on stage before the closing act, Steve Day.

Steve is a truly unique comedian - warm, witty and engaging whilst dealing with the dilemmas of being a deaf man in a hearing world.

He went on his first national tour in 2006, and has since been performing across the world to critical acclaim.

The Victoria in Coalville has a two-day music festival, Moxters of Rock.

The Whitwick Road venue will have live music on both Friday and Saturday night.

There will be tributes to Metallic, The Cult, Rage Against the Machine, Motorhead, Motley Crue and more.

The Emporium in Belvoir Road, Coalville, has a new night on Friday - entitled Sonus.

This is a new monthly event that brings the best in trance and hard house music to the heart of the club.

Dance the night away with the legendary Curt Buckingham and Ritchie Bennett as they hit the decks and elevate your night with iconic beats.
