This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - and hopefully, there is something for everyone.

The Victoria in Coalville has two gigs this weekend.

On Friday, it is The Very Best of Poizon - every hit and every track from the biggest party band the world has ever seen, plus the venue's amazing 80s DJ Hudi from Boogie Nights Disco.

Then, on Saturday, it will be Idol Maiden, I Am Slayer and Firekracken.

This is an amazing tribute to one one the biggest names in metal Iron Maiden, plus support from the one-man Slayer tribute and local rockers Firecracken.

The Century Theatre in Coalville has Soul Kinda Wonderful on Saturday night.

Soul Kinda Wonderful are the UK's number one tribute to the legendary Drifters, and award winners at the National Tribute awards in 2013, 2016 and 2017.

Lead vocalist, Richie Sampson, has performed alongside former long standing members of The Drifters, such as Ray Lewis, Billy Lewis, Butch Leake and Roy Hemmings at various times. The band breathes new life into the classic Drifters hits such as 'Under the Boardwalk', 'Save the Last Dance for Me', and 'Up On The Roof, Kissing In The Back Row of The Movies'.

The group also pay tribute to the great original members such as Ben E King and his solo hits 'Spanish Harlem' and 'Stand By Me', Clyde McPhatter, and Johnny Moore whose music will always be remembered.

Coalville CAN in Memorial Square has a new exhibition this month.

Decorative Tiles & Tile Making in and around Charnwood Forest runs until October 14.

This showcases the region's rich tile-making heritage and offers a fascinating glimpse into the history and artistry of decorative tiles.

Tonight (Thursday) the launch event will feature guest speaker Steve Warburton, who will deliver an engaging talk about George Smith, known as "The Children's Friend." Enjoy a wine reception while exploring the exhibition.

On October 10, there is a special event with Rob Higgins, who will delve into the history of Victorian decorative tile production in the Coalville area. This free talk will also be accompanied by a wine reception and viewing of the exhibition.

On Saturday night, the Emporium in Coalville has Oasish playing live.

They are described as the world's most recognised Oasis tribute band - and the most authentic.

They also say they are the only Oasis tribute band to perform at Wembley Stadium - during the 2013 FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic - seen by both Liam and Noel Gallagher.

Tonight (Thursday), the Century Theatre in Coalville has The Poldark Show Presents El Mistico: Magic, Mind Reading & Comedy Hypnosis.
