This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - and hopefully there is something for everyone.

Sunday sees the return of the Ashby Show - which is being held at Cattows Farm, Heather, near Coalville.

Among the attractions at this year's event will be a Classic Car and Vintage Tractors Display, the Bob Hogg Sheepdog and Duck Display, East Midlands Quadrille Club and a Lancaster Flypast at 3pm which is to be confirmed.

It remains one of the best agricultural shows in the Midlands - and this is its 108th show.

Organisers promise a fun day out for all the family.

Coalville CAN is staging an exhibition at its Memorial Square offices until July 22.

Learn about African Penguins, Margay cats, honey badgers and other endangered species from around the world. Fun for all ages!

The Palace in Ibstock has a Film Night on Friday evening.

The High Street venue is showing Baltimore.

It is based on the life of Rose Dugdale, a British heiress-turned-IRA member, played by Imogen Poots. The film is an international co-production between Ireland and the United Kingdom.

In April 1974, Dugdale leads an art heist at Russborough House, the home of Sir Alfred Beit.

The film's title refers to the village of Baltimore in County Cork.

Coalville Pet Supplies in James Street, Coalville, is marking National Pet Shop Day on Saturday.

The shop is inviting people to come along and join in the occasion between 10am-3pm.
