This weekend's Coalville events cover a wide range of entertainment - hopefully there is something for everyone.

Don't forget, you can advertise your event for free at Coalville Nub News - and reach thousands of our readers at the same time.

One of the biggest attractions of the weekend will be the return of the Living Without Abuse charity Coalville Fun Run, taking place on Sunday.

Whether you're a long term runner, you're taking part in Couch to 5km or you're just looking for some fun, this is the event for you!

Taking place in Snibston Colliery Park the route is beautiful - and there will be some fun surprises along the way too.

Fancy dress is encouraged (but not compulsory) for this event, whether that's a full inflatable T-Rex costume or just a tutu!

So, get your family, friends, work mates together and come along. The route is walking, children and dog friendly

Emily Corrigan, Head of Fundraising at LWA said: "This event is a must for everyone who would like a fun way to spend their Sunday morning. The park is beautiful and there are a lot of fun surprises on the way. Not only that, you're raising funds for LWA too!"

The Century Theatre in Coalville is turning the clock back on Saturday night.

The Hijacked Hollies will be playing live and bringing the sounds of the 60s and 70s with them.

With a distinctive vocal harmony sound, 'The Hollies' hits have been a backdrop to people's lives over many decades.

In our shows 'The Hijacked Hollies' aim to recreate that same feeling. Playing a string of 'Hollies' classic hits with a few more obscure favourites thrown in for good measure.

You can find more details HERE.

There is another tribute act playing live in Ibstock on Saturday night.

Through Hell into Paradise is a Meat Loaf tribute and will be appearing at the Central Bar.

You can find more details HERE.

There is entertainment with a difference on Sunday at the 1620s House in Donington le Heath, which is hosting Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at the Outdoor Theatre.

Chorus Theatre presents a new adaptation of the classic fairy tale. Featuring songs, music, puppetry and a tea party! This magical show is one for the whole family.

Come along dressed as your favourite character from Wonderland!

Running time: 40 mins approx, and there will be opportunities for photos with the cast after the show.

Bring a picnic blanket or your own seating for this show as we're outdoors! Picnics welcome!

More details are HERE.
