Friday is film night at the Century Theatre in Coalville when Living will be showing.

Set in 1950s London, quiet and reserved Mr Williams (Bill Nighy) spends his days working in the council's planning department, but a terminal diagnosis opens his eyes.

He determines to make a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something more rewarding by creating a legacy for the next generation.

Bill Nighy has been nominated for the OSCAR for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in this film.

Saturday sees live music take over and The Emporium in Belvoir Road has a tribute band to one of Australia's finest exports AC/DC.

THE AC/DC Experience – arguably Britain's best AC/DC tribute band having rocked some of the biggest tribute festivals in the UK – are heading out on an eagerly-awaited sixth nationwide tour.

The Coalville venue will host the band as they brilliantly nail the power and look of the stadium rock god's incendiary stage performance with a no gimmick pure rock 'n roll show.

Also on Saturday, the Donington Arms, in Donington le Heath, is holding a charity fundraising day in aid of LOROS.

Blastfest includes a craft fair from 11-3pm - and in the evening, local band The Ransacked playing. Tickets for the evening are £10 which includes a buffet.

There is also a raffle with the first prize of a child's 50cc quad bike, and second prize of a mountain bike.

The Snibstone New Inn has Murder of Crows playing live there for the first time on Saturday night.

This lively town Centre pub will get the Crows treatment.

The Victoria Bikers' Pub has more bands playing live this Saturday.

It is their first all-ayer of the year KROW and Foolish and the Ghoulish lined up to play.

The Central Bar in Ibstock has Sophie Sinclair singing live in what is billed as free entry.

Sophie is on stage from 9pm.
