The Leicester Comedy Festival is in Coalville over the next month - with the Birch Tree in Bardon hosting gigs.

You can see shows on February 14, 21 and 28 as the festival spreads out from the city.

Leicester Comedy Festival is 19 days of comedy and laughter across Leicester and Leicestershire with over 700 shows for you to enjoy including stand-up, sketch, live podcasts and improv.

The festival will take place across over 65 venues in Leicester, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Mountsorrell and Coalville from Wednesday, February 7, and will run throughout the month, to February 25.

The Palace at Ibstock is showing Mission Impossible in the latest Film Night on Friday,

Ethan Hunt and the IMF team must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins.

Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than the mission -- not even the lives of those he cares about most.

Coalville CAN is hosting its monthly Board Games Night on Friday at its offices in Memorial Square.

This is a relaxed and open group for board game enthusiasts of all ages.

Under 16s must be accompanied and note that most provided games are designed to suit ages 8yrs or older, though you are free to bring your own board games to play or share with others. Refreshments are included.

There are two gigs on at the Victoria Bikers' Pub in Whitwick Road this weekend - both featuring tribute bands.

Cult Fiction are on stage on Friday night.

They will be playing the songs of The Cult and ticket details are HERE.

On Saturday, it will be Loving The Alien - a David Bowie Tribute playing live.

The band promise all the big Bowie hits - a must for any fans of the Thin White Duke.
