The Palace Community Centre is hosting a free exhibition detailing the history of Ibstock.
It is taking place on Saturday from 10am until noon.
The event marks the publication of a history of Ibstock, covering over 1,000 years of archaeology with photos, displays and books.

Still in Ibstock, the Central Bar has a Disco for Adults on Friday night.
It will be a feelgood night out dancing the night away with people your own age to 70s Disco / 80s pop and 90s anthems.

On Saturday night, the same venue is hosting Ibstock Soul Club, featuring the very best of commercial Motown and Soul floor fillers.
It is the club's fourth Tamla Motown & 60s/70s Soul Night.
Listen and dance the night away to the sounds of the Four Tops, Temptations, Supremes, Elgins, Marvin Gaye, Jimmy Ruffin, Frank Wilson and many more, plus Chairman of the Board, Ojays, Trammps, Candi Staton, Otis Redding, Arthur Conley and the Drifters.
The tracks are all played on vinyl on the venue's superb in-house surround sound system.

In Swannington on Saturday you can hear Brooks Williams and Aaron Catlow in concert at Elm Farm Music.
Brooks Williams has well-honed skills as a singer songwriter, but is also one the world's top 100 Acoustic Guitarists!
Alongside Brooks is the wonderfully gifted Aaron Catlow.
Aaron interprets and adds energy and feeling to every song, with a subtlety that only comes with true talent.
