The jazz music of one of Britain's best-loved personalties is one of the top attractions in the Coalville area this weekend.

Dudley Moore's fame as a beloved comic actor and Hollywood movie star and his complex and highly conflicted life story, has rather overshadowed his singular gifts as a witty and imaginative jazzman and composer.

A scintillating live performance laced through with anecdote and insight, this heartfelt tribute - by an outstanding quartet - revisits Dud's dazzlingly fertile musicianship and reveals the richness and sheer likability of his music, with irresistible feel-good sounds alongside heart-rending beauty and poignancy.

The Jazz of Dudley Moore features at the Palace in Ibstock on Saturday night with the Chris Ingham Trio recreating the sounds.
