Thousands of people flocked to Cattow's Farm in Heather for the Ashby Show - and were treated to some spectacular displays.

The Red Devils Army Parachute Team swooped in to the main ring just after mid-day - and a flyby by a Lancaster bomber was the highlight of the afternoon.

Before that, the RAF Red Arrows flew past the site on their way to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

But there were a host of other attractions on offer to make it a true family day out.

Here are some photo and video highlights, starting with the arrival of the Red Devils.

Owner of the Stealth Gym in Coalville, Craig Smith, was at the show along with crew members, Sarah Tebbett (centre) and Sammi Woodward, who will be rowing their boat 'Valkerie' 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge in aid of the Macmillian cancer charity

Cadets from across the Leicestershire force area attended the Ashby Show this weekend to help the organisers with tasks such as stewarding the car parks and helping visitors with directions. Photo: Leicestershire Police Specials
