Two men arrested in Bagworth following 'threats to kill' at an Ibstock property
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill after an incident at a property in Ibstock two days earlier.
Officers executed a warrant in Bagworth this morning (Wednesday, August 17).
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Shortly after 12.45am on Monday (August 15), police were called to Bernard Close in Ibstock following a report that damage was being caused to a property and that threats were being made to the occupants.
"Officers attended and followed a vehicle, which had been seen leaving the area.
:It was subsequently found abandoned in Bagworth.
"Following further enquiries, the warrant was executed at a site off Barlestone Road and two men aged 40 and 20 were arrested.
"They both remain in custody at this time while the investigation continues."
Detective Inspector Kev Hames said: "Following this morning's successful warrant, both men were arrested and will be questioned by detectives.
"Our investigation is very much ongoing, but I hope this news will provide an element of reassurance to the local community that the force takes such reports extremely seriously and that appropriate action will be taken.
"I would ask anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident, but has not yet spoken to police, to come forward.
"Any details you're able to provide – no matter how insignificant you think they are – could help."
