Two Arrested After Three Police Officers Assaulted In Coalville Overnight

Leicestershire Police has reported that three officers were assaulted overnight in Coalville - with two men arrested.

One was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and both were charged with assault.

Leicestershire Police 24/7 Response posted about the incident on their Twitter account on Saturday.

Their tweet reads: "Three officers assaulted in Coalville overnight, luckily minor injuries.

"Two arrested. Coalville Police officers have dealt with the prisoners.

"One charged with possession of offensive weapon and assault on emergency worker.

"The other charged with 2 X Assault Emergency worker. Sgt Prince."
