Three people arrested in Coalville on suspicion of handling stolen goods following search of car

Three people were arrested by police on suspicion of handling stolen goods when their car was stopped in Coalville on Wednesday.

A number of power tools were found during the arrest of two men and woman.

Police have issued an appeal to find out the owners of the tools.

A social media post by North West Leicestershire Police reads: "Some power tools have been recovered today (Wednesday 12 April) following a routine stop of a car on Broom Leys Road, Coalville.

"Three people have been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods – two men, aged 41 and 48, and one woman, aged 24.

"The 48-year-old man has also been arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs.

"In the car were two Mikita drills and a charging unit, and all have the initials SJHP on them.

"If the tools are yours, or you know whose they are and can provide proof of ownership, they can be returned.

"Contact 101, quoting incident number 23*218977."
