A number of areas around Coalville are to be added to the Mobile Post Office service.

Post Office services will be restored next month to the communities of Stanton Under Bardon, Ellistown and Coleorton.

This will start on the week commencing April 18.

Coleorton, Stanton Under Bardon and Ellistown will benefit from visits on a Tuesday - and are among nine new services being introduced.

The Post Office says these will be temporary mobile services while it continues to look for permanent solutions - and says this a tried and tested way to serve smaller communities.

Anne Murphy, the Network Provision Lead, said: "We are delighted to be restoring Post Office service to nine new communities in North West Leicestershire and South Derbyshire with the mobile service.

"These will be temporary services whilst we continue to look for permanent solutions."

Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the new mobile services.

Feedback will close on April 14 and customers can share their views during the consultation online HERE with the branch code 379207 and with the branch name.
