North West Leicestershire Police have reported vandalism and anti-social behaviour in Whitwick.

Photos have been posted of damage to play areas, outdoor equipment and road signs.

But local police say that recent efforts to speak with youths in the area have not worked.

A social media post reads: "Do you know where your child is at night?

"Unfortunately we're getting reports of youth related anti-social behaviour on Whitwick Park and King George's Field.

"We are asking parents to remind their children to respect the park area and its opening times.

"I'm always happy to work with the local youths in order to try help them, but unfortunately this hasn't helped the cause.

"If you have any information regarding these issues or think you could help then please make contact. Mike 6500."
