The Latest Coronavirus Case Figures For North West Leicestershire

North West Leicestershire recorded the second highest number of new coronavirus cases outside of Leicester in the last 24 hours.
But the seven day rate of infection is falling rapidly - and currently stands at 222 cases per 100,000.
Fewer than 350 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed across the city and county today (Monday).
The majority – 186 were spread across Leicestershire, with 141 recorded in Leicester.
Most of the county's cases are in Charnwood which has had 46 new cases confirmed since yesterday.
North West Leicestershire is the district with the the second highest number of 37.
There have been 27 new infections identified in Hinckley and Bosworth, 25 in Harborough and 22 in Blaby.
Melton added 17 new cases and in Oadby and Wigston there were 12.
The new cases, updated today at 4pm, mean that the total number of cases across the city and county since the start of the pandemic area by area are :
- Leicester: 31,529
- Blaby: 6,111
- Charnwood: 10,682
- Harborough: 4,425
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 5,204
- Melton: 2,288
- North West Leicestershire: 4,941
- Oadby and Wigston: 4,458
- Leicester: 340.7 cases per 100,000 (1,207 cases in the last seven days)
- Blaby: 238.4 cases per 100,000 (242)
- Charnwood: 197.5 cases per 100,000 (367)
- Harborough: 187.6 cases per 100,000 (176)
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 228 cases per 100,000 (258)
- Melton: 167.9 cases per 100,000 (86)
- North West Leicestershire: 222 cases per 100,000 (230)
- Oadby and Wigston: 303.4 cases per 100,000 (173)
