A Coalville store is offering customers the chance to win free shopping if they can sing like a 'champion'.

Shoppers have the chance to take part in the final SPARaoke from this Saturday (July 13) - just by joining with Queen's We Are The Champions.

The Coalville SPAR, in Broom Leys Road, will allow visitors to hear the iconic song in-store, grab the microphone and be in with a chance to win their entire basket for free, as well as having the opportunity to win a month's worth of groceries.

Max Nissen, the Store Manager, said: "Our colleagues have enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the Sparaoke campaign. 

"The campaign has resonated well with customers and we've had several customers sing 'We are the Champions' on Saturdays.

"The customers have been thrilled with their money-off vouchers.

"We look forward to welcoming more winners on Saturday when they join us for a sing-song."

The campaign is designed to ensure customers have fun in-store and create a 'Champion' atmosphere. 

SPAR says it aims to give some light-hearted relief from the nail-biting stress of European Championship football, tennis and the upcoming Olympics and Paralympics.

Head into Coalville SPAR on Saturday, and listen out for the iconic song via the in-store radio.

Once you hear it, go towards the checkouts, grab the mic and rock out. 

By singing along to the song for at least 30 seconds you will be in with a chance to win your entire basket for free.

A spokesperson for SPAR said: "We know that most champions belong on the world sporting stage, but we also know that champions secretly live within local communities. 

"So, while you may not be getting a medal this summer, you can definitely feel the rush of being your local SPARaoke champion with SPAR."
