North West Leicestershire District Council has warned of around six weeks of road works in the Marlborough Square and Belvoir Road area of Coalville.

From last Monday, until Friday, June 7, there will be single lane traffic control lights.

They are being installed just before the pelican and zebra crossings on Belvoir Road, next to Marlborough Square for resurfacing work to the road.

Jackson Street will remain one-way until the end of May.

North West Leicestershire District Council posted on its social media sites: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time."

The council recently gave an update on the Marlborough Square development - with paving work taking place last week.

It said: "The central area of granite - where markets and events will be held - has now been laid and is looking great.

"More paving work took place overnight last week. This is so that we can keep access to businesses around the square during the day."
