Two leisure centres in North West Leicestershire have had a raft of new equipment added to their gyms.

Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre and Ashby Leisure Centre & Lido, both run by operator Everyone Active in partnership with North West Leicestershire District Council, have benefitted from the upgrades.

Across the two venues, a total of £80,000 has been invested.

At Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido, a variety of plate-loaded equipment has been added to align with the industry trend towards strength training.

State-of-the-art machines from Technogym, Booty Builder and Therabody have been included, as well as brand new flooring from D2F.

Meanwhile, Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre has added equipment including the Pure Strength Incline Bench and Pure Strength Deadlift, as well as additional weight benches and free weights.

Everyone Active's fitness manager, Gary Nettel, said: "The arrival of this state-of-the-art equipment in both gyms is great news for the local community.

"Using these machines will enable our customers to target the areas of fitness that matter to them most, while improving their health and well-being.

"Whether you are an experienced gym user or a complete beginner, our gyms have everything you need to achieve a fantastic workout and meet your fitness goals."

Everyone Active runs eight leisure centres across Leicestershire, with Whitwick & Coalville Leisure Centre being the newest following its opening three years ago.
