Coalville in Bloom plans put forward - with local businesses invited to sponsor displays
Plans have been put forward to include Coalville in Bloom in this year's North West Leicestershire District Council budget.
Two years ago, the project was supported by a local homebuilder, and deputy council leader, Cllr Michael Wyatt, has called for sponsorship to make it happen this year.
Coalville in Bloom went ahead in 2024, but without sponsorship. Now it has been proposed the flower tubs and baskets return for 2025.
Cllr Wyatt said: "Even when budgets are tight, I was able to find sufficient funds to help keep this project going which makes a real difference to our town.
"So many people say to me the flower tubs and baskets look so nice and help to brighten up the area. Coalville in Bloom brings a splash of colour to our town."

Sponsorship starts from as little as £35
In the past, displays have started at Memorial Square, through High Street, Ashby Road and Hotel Street. The plants should last until late summer.
