Second man charged in connection with armed robbery at Coalville store

A second man has been charged in connection with an armed robbery on a Coalville store.

Staff at the Spar supermarket in Broom Leys Road were threatened with knives during a late night robbery in March Knife wielding thieves threatened supermarket staff with knives.

Leicestershire Police described it as a 'frightening experience' at the time.

The raiders made off with alcohol, cigaretttes and cash in the incident which happened at the store.

Levi Muttock, 32, of no fixed address had already been charged in connection with this incident Man charged with robbery after Coalville supermarket raid.

Now Rhys Chan, 29 of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

He appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court on Monday (May 31) and was remanded in custody.

Leicestershire Police confirmed the charges related to an incident in Broom Leys Road on March 13.
