Roads closed near reservoir attraction due to police incident

Roads have been closed around Thornton Reservoir due to a police incident.

Leicestershire Police issued a warning at around 12.25 this afternoon (Sunday) to stay away from the Merry Lees Road area.

The message reads: "Traffic update at 12:25.

"Following a police incident Merry Lees Road from Merry Lees to Thornton Reservoir is closed until further notice.

"Traffic is being diverted so please find an alternative route.

"Updates will follow."
