A Cannabis grow was discovered in Whitwick on Wednesday evening of last week.

North West Leicestershire Police posted photos of the drugs find on social media.

Leicestershire Police have not revealed the precise location of the grow.

But they have highlighted the work done by Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in this case.

PCSOs work with police officers and share some, but not all of their powers. Special constables are volunteers who have the same powers as police.

The force's social media post said: "PCSOs managed to locate and secure a cannabis grow in Whitwick last night (Wednesday).

"This is another great result for the team and shows just how important the PCSOs are as part of the neighbourhood team and how simple community engagement can often lead to bigger things.

"We would like to thank members of the community for all the help you give us which often leads to cracking results."
