Police Need Your Help After Coalville Street Assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault in a Coalville street.

The incident is reported as happening at around midday on Monday 30 December in Waterworks Road close to Harker Drive.

A woman was parked in the street when a man approached the car and shouted at her.

The man proceeded to try and pull the wing mirror off the vehicle, a Kia Sedona, and closed the car door on the leg of a passenger who was returning to the vehicle.

The passenger, a woman in her 60s, sustained bruising following the incident. The man is described as white, around 6ft tall and of slim build.

He had long dark hair and what is described as a distinctive moustache. He was wearing glasses, a blue coat, jeans, black steel toe capped boots and a grey beanie hat. He was also carrying a black and blue rucksack.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it.

Alternatively anyone who knows the identity of the man involved is also asked to contact police.
