Police hunt for duo in connection with Coalville break-in which saw two Volkswagen cars stolen

Leicestershire Police want to speak to these people (pictured) about a burglary in Coalville which led to two cars being stolen.

The overnight incident happened at a home in Waterworks Road three months ago.

Now police have issued a photo of a duo they hope can help with their inquiries into the theft.

A North West Leicestershire Police social media post says: "Do you recognise the two people pictured below?

"Officers are continuing to investigate a burglary in Waterworks Road, Coalville and believe they may have information about the incident.

"At around 1.45am on Tuesday 5 September, a house was broken into and the keys to two cars were taken.

"The cars – A Volkswagen Golf and Move Up – were also stolen.

"The Golf was later found burnt out in Coalville while the Move Up was found burnt out in Barkby Thorpe, near Leicester."

Detective Constable Ollie Watson, the investigating officer, added: "A credit card was also stolen, which was later used to buy goods.

"From the enquiries we've carried out, I believe the two people pictured may be able to help our investigation"
