Police Appeal: Woman Wanted In Connection With Coalville Purse Theft From Internet Couple

North West Leicestershire Police have released pictures of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a purse on February 8 - an incident that received nationwide coverage after an Instagram appeal by Thringstone couple Pauline and Geoffrey Walker.

The elderly husband and wife issued their famous tearful online plea for the return of a purse after it was stolen in Coalville Coalville Couple Win £1,000 On TV Show

The incident happened in the Belvoir Shopping Centre in Coalville, sometime between 11.15am and 2pm.

After the purse was taken a bank card was used in Ashby to make payments at two different shops.

Police posted on their Facebook page on Monday: "Do you recognise this woman?"
