The latest food hygiene results for North West Leicestershire - including Coalville and Ashby - have been released.

Every restaurant, supermarket and takeaway – in fact, any place where food is supplied, sold or eaten is given a rating for food hygiene, with zero being the worst and five being the best. 

To save you time before you pop out to grab your food during March, take a look at this handy guide to check what rating your favourite restaurant and other eateries have been given. 

You can even check out ratings for your local sandwich shop and schools in your area.

The ratings cover the month of February 2025 and are based on criteria such as handling, storage and preparation of food, cleanliness of facilities and how well food safety issues are managed. 

Across the county, a total of 145 places to eat were given a top rating of "5" meaning "very good".
