North West Leicestershire Covid cases edge back up according to latest figures

Covid infections in North West Leicestershire have crept up - sending the seven-day case right back over the 200 mark.
A further 49 coronavirus cases were reported in the district on Wednesday.
It means, over the past week, there are 203.6 cases per 100,000, with 211 new cases.
The rate had gone down to 193 recently - but that compares with a figure of just over 400 last month.
More than 300 new Covid cases were confirmed across the city and county on Wednesday in the highest daily increase so far this week.
In total there were 339 new infections identified – 135 in Leicester and 204 spread across Leicestershire.
Charnwood added 54 new cases and North West Leicestershire added 49.
Harborough recorded 26 new cases and there were 28 in Hinckley and Bosworth.
Blaby added 20 to its rolling toll. In Oadby and Wigston there were 19 and eight in Melton.
The new cases, updated on Wednesday at 4pm, mean that the total number of cases across the city and county since the start of the pandemic area by area are :
- Leicester: 32,654
- Blaby: 6,336
- Charnwood: 11,137
- Harborough: 4,628
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 5,434
- Melton: 2,362
- North West Leicestershire: 5,220
- Oadby and Wigston: 4,564
The latest seven-day infection rates, area by area, are:
- Leicester: 252.4 cases per 100,000 (894 cases in the last seven days)
- Blaby: 184.2 cases per 100,000 (187)
- Charnwood: 181.9 cases per 100,000 (338)
- Harborough: 173.8 cases per 100,000 (163)
- Hinckley and Bosworth: 160.9 cases per 100,000 (182)
- Melton: 126.9 cases per 100,000 (65)
- North West Leicestershire: 203.6 cases per 100,000 (211)
- Oadby and Wigston: 142.1 cases per 100,000 (81)
