A new '24/7' gym based in Coalville's Belvoir Centre has said it will open its doors next month.

PureGym Coalville says it will provide members with 'around the clock' access to flexible, affordable fitness through low-cost, zero contract memberships.

The UK's largest gym operator will open the new facility in Coalville at 12noon on June 21.

PureGym says the 11,000 sq. ft. gym is set to provide members with what they need 'to unlock their fitness potential and enhance their overall wellbeing this summer', including:

  • Hundreds of pieces of state-of-the-art equipment
  • A functional zone, free weights area, fixed resistance, cardio equipment and a fitness studio
  • A huge range of classes, all included within the membership price
  • Certified Personal Trainers available to support clients and a free initial exercise induction

The gym has occupied the site that used to be the Wilko store in Coalville.

A spokesperson for PureGym said: "Following sustained demand in the East Midlands, we are delighted to be opening our newest gym in Coalville.

"Through our low-cost, high-value memberships, PureGym Coalville members can work out around the clock at their convenience to enhance their mental and physical wellbeing.

"We look forward to welcoming members through our doors on June 21 – sign up to our opening offer now!"

PureGym aims to boost footfall to the shopping centre and provide around nine new jobs in the thriving health and fitness sector.

It says it is always on the lookout for people who want to turn their passion for fitness into a career through the PureGym Personal Training Academy - which aims to allow candidates to become certified PTs in just 14 weeks.

The PT Academy also provides ongoing business support and opportunities for career progression into management roles.

PureGym says it is committed to providing a safe place for everybody to work out and as part of its TrainSafe commitment, it has installed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in all of its gyms.

AEDs can be lifesaving in a critical situation, which is why PureGym says it believes they are as essential as any other piece of equipment in the gym.
