The National Forest has launched more of its popular Plant a Tree events, encouraging people to join forces to create more green woodland areas as well as helping to combat climate change.

With a growing focus on mental health and overcoming anxiety about the environment, this annual project aims to bring together communities across the region to plant trees and reap the countless benefits to both the planet and our own wellbeing.

The Plant a Tree events will take place on Saturday, November, 25 and Saturday, February 17 (2024) at Brookvale Wood in nearby Ratby.

Slots will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm and you can book as an individual, couple, family or groups of up to 12.

You can choose from six different native broadleaf species to plant – oak, lime, hazel, silver birch, rowan or wild cherry.

National Forest staff will be on hand to make your day memorable and help with the planting.

Places are limited and you can secure your spot here.
