North West Leicestershire Police are trying to locate the owner of a pony found wandering in Swannington.

Police are keen to find out more about the animal and have issued an appeal online.

North West Leicestershire Police posted: "This sweet little pony has recently been at the centre of a number of phone calls to not only the Police, but the RSPCA too.

"Most recently she was spotted wandering along Main Street, Swannington all on her own.

She is currently being well cared for and is safe and secure and her chip reveals she had a registered keeper, but certainly not a local one.

Do you recognise this pony? Who do you believe she is owned by? Who has recently been caring for her?

"If you have any information at all, please make contact with PC 237 Emma Holmes on this email: [email protected]."
